90s Delight, Ancient Builders, and Fascinating History of Humankind | Weekly Blink 06
⚡️ Something that moved me this week:
Lately, I have been exploring a lot about Indian History. I came across this Youtube Channel and I’m moved by the various findings of the author. He makes these videos with such a passion and curiosity that anybody would love to dig & dive in more and more. The ancient builder seems to be more advanced compared with all the efficient tools we are using now in the 21st Century.
These all have made me believe in the fact that there is a scientific reason for everything that we have been practicing and preaching for years. Just when you when don’t find an answer from someone when you ask the reason behind it doesn’t mean, it was being followed all of a sudden without any reason. Instead of making a joke about your culture you can do researches and surely can get relevant information from books or internet with verified sources.
Somewhere I’ve started believing that the ancient people knew something that we are yet to figure. I’ll write more about it in a different article.
🌈 One thing that made me happy this week:
Ta-da!! These are finally here. I cannot wait to greet fuelers with these. Great job from Inkmonk. Always a fan of their work. Well, you can get one of these. Ask how?
🎧 What I’m listening to while working:
I thought of creating a playlist of songs we have been listening to back in the 90s. Their lyrics at least made some sense. The 90s was not an era, it was an emotion.
I’ll be updating it regularly. And yes, I’d love to know about yours.
📚 What I’m reading:
I love book recommendations. One of my friends has suggested the book “Sell like Crazy” by Sabri Suby. The book is actually crazy as it sounds. I will share more about the book on #DailyBlinks.
🔗 Two articles I’d like to share:
Read both the articles, I promise you will love them.
💭 One compelling tweet I came across:
We don’t burn out because we work. We burn out because we forget why we work. We lose sight of our goal. — Mateusz Zatorski
It’s natural to lose track even if you are working on something you love doing. Because it’s not like when you are pursuing something you love, it is a bed of roses instead it is hard, hard work and years of unrecognized efforts. But as they say, it’s all worth it and you will get to know why!!
🧠 One very important thing I’m taking from this week:
So I came across the internal process of Gumroad shared by Sahil on Twitter.
Gumroad is a platform that enables creatives to sell directly to their audience — so that they can make a living doing what they love. Writers, designers, game developers, musicians, artists, and filmmakers use Gumroad to earn money off of their creative efforts. Always a great feeling learning from experienced entrepreneurs. The wiki has discussed about the various process about their working which I was already seeking in any startup successful in fulfilling the needs of their consumer. Financing, Roadmap, Communications and a lot more about their Work Culture. You will enjoy too.
Thanks for reading. I hope you found this helpful. Say Hi 👋 Twitter Instagram. I’d love to connect.
