Impressive plan but how would you fight laziness? | #DailyBlink04

technology has saved my time to help me do things that I love.

Research suggests humans are hardwired for laziness. The human brain has to work much harder to avoid sluggish behavior because evolution favors conserving energy.

Evolution favored sluggish behavior because this may have given our ancient ancestors an advantage when it came to survival, experts say.

Wasting energy unnecessarily could have left them vulnerable to predators, whereas conserving energy would have afforded them a boost when it came to searching for food, hunting their prey, and fighting off rivals.

How technology has contributed more to it?

  1. Chat instead of real hangouts
  2. Video Calling
  3. Online shopping
  4. Online food delivery
  5. Binge-watch Netflix, Entertainment Online
  6. Swipe right/left
  7. Remote Working

And many such will evolve over time. (I actually found a tweet that says “Please text me, I cannot take calls. I’d rather die than taking call”.)

This article has actually explained the different really well.

Not that I’m against all these but everything has a threshold limit. No doubt, technology has been boon to mankind but this is only somewhere backfiring at us.

Humans are less willing to take risks, are less willing to try out new things. One might fail, what if it doesn’t work out for me. The window of tolerance and patience has shrunken over time. Who loves failing after all?

Taking calculated risk is good but coming to a conclusion based on what someone has done and you will end doing the same is not justified. The way a book is not read similarly by two different people is the same way two people cannot execute a similar idea/approach. There will be a lot of factors that will matter. Humans are not machines that are programmed to perform a defined task by their programmer.

Plans are rare because most of us here to blame someone else and relax but sometimes we come up with plans, but whats comes in between is the lazy human behavior. So was my title for this blink. One has to be consistent for long only when the desired result can be obtained. Learn about the risk-reward ratio in life.

A Stone Is Broken With The Last Stroke Of Hammer, This Doesn’t Mean That First Stroke Was Useless, Success Is A Result Of Consistent Efforts. Learn about compounding.

All the benefits in life come from compound interest — relationship, money, habits — anything of importance.” — @naval

So it is the convenience around us that has made us lazier or we all have just taken all these for granted?

I’d like to know your views on this.
