No doubt, the time has changed. But there is so much to learn from. Especially the pearls of wisdom. How surprising that often we take a few things for granted in our life as if was always there. I often ponder on stories heard from my parents and relative about their life way back.

I’m sure the modern struggle won’t be these:
1. We didn’t have a proper school uniform to go to school
2. we didn’t have multiple pens to write
3. We had to borrow books from our friends.
4. We had only one pen for the entire years, we used to buy refills
5. We had to walk 10 KMs to go to our school
6. We had no lights to study at night, we studied under streetlights, oil lamps
7. We had to go to works after school so that we can support our family as well.
8. We use to eat with one curry to have our lunches.
9. We had even shared our cloths with our siblings.
10. The used clothes were again used for stitching blankets. Cold spare none.
11. We had to travel far places to fetch water to drink
12. Sometimes the feast was only during any guests have come to our come. Thanks to them.

And more like these lines, I have heard while growing up from my parents and relatives. My native place is in the Southernmost part of Tripura. I often get to hear stories like this mostly when I go back to my native place. Surely we didn’t have a glorious past. Bengal Feminine & Partition of Bengal, Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 (Mukti Juddho) are very least to mention. The impact of this can be seen even today in the mindset and from the lifestyle of the people here.

But the silver lining is “We will make a stand” and slowly but gradually in a sustainable way we will go ahead.

Entrepreneurship will make it happen ☮️
