Why do we have less number of judges in our country? | #DailyBlink13
The question sparked when I have watched the movie “Jolly LLB 2” and in the very end of the movie, the judge explains why he keeps coming to the same dark, smelly hall again and again when nobody would like to come. The ending has been framed in such a way that it will actually make you think. According to the movie “We have 3 Crore (30 Million) pending cases for we have only 21000 judges. Here’s how the ratio looks like 1:10000, i.e for 1 judge will be held responsible for handling 10000 cases. Even after this mammoth figure, wherever there is any fight or any outrages, you will find always find them saying each “I will see you in court”.
Why??
Because they trust the Indian Judiciary.
Even if the Govt, Police Fails, one can look up to the judiciary for justice. Hence the person sitting on that supreme position responsible for taking decision should never forget their responsibility toward the citizen and therefore the trust for them
So here’s are some of the questions that were intriguing me:
1. Why don’t we have enough judges in our country?
2. Why anybody is not willing to become a judge?
3. Are we creating enough awareness?
4. Are we inspiring our youth for the role?
5. How can we create aspirations for the same?
I did some research on this and based on my findings I’m attaching some of the answers from different sources that explain the situation and things that can be done to tackle this issue.
As expected, the issue is not as simple as it sounds, one might think why cannot we simply increase the number of judges. As always all the things that we get to see around us are just the tip of the iceberg. The process involves a lot of factors and different sides of the stories which are often overlooked. Only when you dive deep into it, you get to understand the scenario slowly and steadily.
You can go through all the related questions associated with the issues. And maybe work towards solving the problems. Because:
With enough convenience, efficiency around us are we failing somewhere Here’s something about the biggest enemy of human beings.
I would love to know your take on this and definitely would encourage more such movies to become mainstream only then we can reach the general public and create awareness around the issue. Along with that, enough promotions have to be done so that it evokes enough participation or else it doesn’t make any differences.
If you want to watch the scene that I have mentioned above: 2:05:50–2:07:37. Such a loving music direction as well. Kudos to their whole team.
Btw, tonight I am awake, sitting upright for the Maha Shivratri. No harm in experiencing new things in life. It is believed that this night brings a sense of deep serenity and benevolence. Any meditation done on this day is a hundred times more effective.
Though the next year I have to make sure I have to be in the right place learning more about it from the tribe itself.
